September 20th, 2007 by jim1537

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.

Epicurus

Epicurus was a Greek philosopher who lived from BC 341-270.  Even after over 2000 years, these words are still good advice today.

Planning

September 19th, 2007 by jim1537

Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.

Alan Lakein

We tend to think of the future as this huge unknown that we can’t control.  What we do today lays the groundwork for the future we want to manifest.  Want a rose garden in the future?  Plant rosebushes today!

Thoughts…

September 15th, 2007 by jim1537

Thought precedes reality.   Before it is seen or experienced as physical “reality,” it originates in thought.

Thought creates reality.  Like an artist molding clay, our thoughts create the sculpture of our lives and what we manifest.

Thought alters reality.  Thought always changes existing structures whether for the better or for the worse.  Remember, nothing ever stays the same.

Thought is conclusion.  The end result of our journey is the uncountable number of thoughts that create and carve out the “reality” we experience, one thought at at time.

FEAR

September 14th, 2007 by jim1537

FEAR is an acronym in the English language for “False Evidence Appearing Real.”

Neale Donald Walsch

Bravo!  We treat our fears, which are illusory by their very nature as gospel truth. Then we build and act upon them, which only strengthens our lower self, our fear self, taking us further away from reality and the courage to live which is our birthright.
