It took me a long time not to judge myself through someone else’s eyes.
Sally Field
This is a phenomenal quote. So many of us, myself include have been like a ping pong ball, batted back and forth; so and so approves of me — I’M OK!!! Another person disapproves of me — I’M NOT OK!!! To not judge yourself through the eyes of others with all of their prejudices, misconceptions, distortions and agendas is a very healing thing to do! Thank you Sally!

C.S. Lewis

Each man is a hero and an oracle to somebody.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
We tend to think of heroes as larger than life. Yet in reality, there are heroes all around us: The single mom struggling to make a living and raise children, a father working an unpleasant job to provide for a family, anyone who works to overcome a catastrophe in their own life or someone who strives to make a difference whther it is the major issues that face mankind or a small act of kindness to a stranger. Each of us has the ability to use our special gifts to make a difference in somebody’s life.

Successful people aren’t born that way. They become successful by establishing the habit of doing things unsuccessful people don’t like to do. The successful people don’t always like these things themselves; they just get on and do them.
